Nutella was abandoned on the Lower East Side. She was found tied to a fence, with neighborhood residents leaving her food and water. We brought her to Animal Haven -- and safety -- where we scanned for a microchip, but did not find one.
Despite being abandoned, Nutella is incredibly sweet and loves human attention. She's beginning to show us her goofy side, and despite being skinny and having some skin issues, she's overall in decent shape.
Nutella deserves a new beginning. Will you welcome her into your life?
Affectionate, people-loving and often startlingly goofy — pit bull type dogs are typically very social with humans. Dog-to-dog tolerance varies a lot by individual, so the rescue's observations matter more than the label.
High — 60+ minutes daily plus chew and puzzle outlets. They are strong and benefit from structured training.
The main obstacle is paperwork, not the dog: many buildings and insurers restrict pit bull type dogs, and enforcement is based on appearance. Confirm your building's policy first.
